The following content emulated from a conversation I had with
"Willie Tetau" (Founder of respect enterprises) a few weeks back.
We spoke on many topics.
One being "what one must have inside, in order to be good at what they do." We agreed that one of those key elements is RESPECT. Both for yourself and others.
So in today's blog I just want to share with you a few of my opinions, thoughts and experiences derived from that talk and how we lead to respect being one of those key elements.
In every aspect of life, the most highly regarded most respected people are those who are the best at what they do. Or those who give such an effort that it is hard not to take notice. Everyone loves competent people, especially those who give there best all of the time, not just on the things they like doing or when the boss is looking. It's about starting small and building from there, no matter what level you are, EVERYBODY NEEDS TO MASTER THE BASICS FIRST.
From there, opportunities come knocking, and as they say "one opportunity creates another."
When I started in the fitness industry about 14 years ago no one knew me. Back then , I remember some people would discount my work because of my age, ethnic background saying I had no experience and didn't belong in this business.
I did expect those kind of comments since they didn't know who I was, or what I could do.
But rather than letting these comments stop me, I built my reputation, one step at a time, via producing some great content and results in myself and others and planting seeds everywhere along the way.
Over time, people began to see the value I was providing and they developed respect for what I was doing.
It's no use saying, ''You are doing your best.'' You have got to succeed in doing what is necessary."
So BE GOOD AT WHAT YOU DO and share it with the world.
If you are not good at something or lacking in a certain area.
Do what is necessary TO BECOME GOOD AT WHAT YOU DO, and once you do succeed.
YOU HAVE TO SHARE YOUR SUCCESS TO HELP INSPIRE OTHERS.
A fitting quote is "Aspire to Inspire before you Expire" in my opinion if we contribute to helping others lift their game, it will holistically lift our own level of performance and ultimately the level of respect shown between us as a human race.
It's through Having the RESPECT for yourself to gain the experience and make the improvements needed, that you establish yourself as the best and earn the respect from others.
It doesn't happen overnight but the respect people have of you after that will be untold.
Thank you for your time Willie and MK are 100% behind the "SOS Bring back respect" movement.
